In the last issue, Sinestro wasn’t looking too hot. In fact, he looked more like Alfred painted yellow rather than the harbinger of fear. That all changed in this issue though cause Sinestro recharged himself by ingesting Parallax; who was trapped by Sinestro on Warworld. Sinestro is looking more sinister than ever, much like an evil Tom Cruise.
Re-powered and on a mission, Sinestro instructs his Yellow Lantern Corps. to ensure that order is maintained throughout the galaxy through the use of fear. Everyone seems to be onboard with this idea except for Sinestro’s daughter, Soranik.
Meanwhile, the Green Lantern Corps. lead by Detriot-native John Stewart flash into existence from wherever they were.
DAYUM! Can Rafa Sandoval drawn some kick-ass Green Lantern Corps. members or what? Not only that, take a look at the tight inks done by Jordi Tarragona, and the beautiful, vibrant colors laid down by Tomeu Morey! Tomeu, how many different shades of green are in your color arsenal, brother? Like, sixty? Beautiful stuff guys, just beautiful.
The issue ends on a cliffhanger with Hal going up against some members of the Yellow Lanterns Corp. that tracked him down. All-in-all another stellar issue thanks to the great pacing of writer Mr. Robert Venditti and the efforts of the art team.
CONSUME REVIEW REPEAT gives Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. 1 …drum roll…4 1/2 out of 5 rotten brains.
